Angela TOP DOG – NCMG ICMG

Angela Anderson, founder of Angels Grooming has been grooming since 2000 and is a Nationally Certified Master Groomer (NCMG), and New Zealand’s first ever Internationally Certified Master Groomer (ICMG). As well as grooming dogs, Angela also loves to groom other animals such as cats and rabbits. Having won many awards in grooming and competing for New Zealand in Groomteam NZ for several years, Angela has gone on to become a judge, certifier and seminar speaker. Her passion for teaching  shows in the Grooming Academy where she has seen most of her students go on to a successful career in grooming.

Renee NDGANZ

Renee has been grooming professionally at Angels Parlour since 2014. She was also trained at Angels Dog
Grooming Academy. She has a certificate in Animal care, Animal management and Canine behaviour &
training. Renee is passionate about her animals and lives with dogs, cats & her chickens. Renee is
a NZ Master Groomer & a Tutor in the Angels Academy.

Simon NDGANZ

Simon has been with us since 2017, he grooms dogs and cats and specialises in amazing scissor skills. Simon achieved very high marks on the practical exams when he become a NZ Master Groomer in 2019. He enjoys helping his students and peers to reach their highest potential. Simon is Bi-Lingual and travels to China to keep up to date with the latest training techniques and styles. His gentle and patient style makes him very popular amongst the students and pets of course.

Emma NCMG

Growing up in the Dog Show World, beautiful Dogs have always been a part of Emma’s life and she is so
excited to be joining the Angel’s Hei Hei Team, as a co-owner, Master Groomer in the Parlour and Tutor in
the Academy. At 15, Emma represented NZ at the International Junior Dog Handling Competition at Crufts-
finishing in the Top 8 with a Miniature Poodle from the successful “Minarets” Kennel. In her 30’s now, she
still loves exhibiting her “Showcase” Miniature Poodles that she and Husband Ashley, have had great
success with, winning many Supreme, Specialty Grand and Champion Titles in NZ and Australia- with the
guidance of “NZKC Hall Of Fame Breeders”- Bill & Sheila Morris “Taff Kennels” and Australian Poodle

Partners in Crime- Tiarne and Kim Perkiss “Tikimi Kennels”. Emma started her Master Groomer journey
with the NDGANZ in 2006 and attained the Master Groomer title in 2010. 2011 saw Emma complete Online
Certification with The Nash Grooming Academy (USA) followed in 2012 by Sasha Riess Passionate Poodle
Level 2 Certification (Serbia)- giving her so much knowledge and confidence to compete in Grooming
Competitions throughout New Zealand and Australia. Earning the honour of Groom Team Captain in 2011-
representing NZ for 8 years in Trans Tasman and International Grooming Championships- achieving “Gold”
Grooming Goals with the Team and taking out Individual BEST IN SHOW at 8 Contests, RESERVE IN SHOW
at 1 Contest, BEST ALL AROUND GROOMER at 2 Contests and BEST NZ GROOMER at 1 Contest- a record
that she hopes will be inspiration for others to strive to learn more and give it a go, to better themselves,
and the care they can give every Perfect Pooch they groom. Emma was honoured to be awarded Life
Membership to the National Dog Groomers Association Of New Zealand in 2020 at the Association’s 30th
Anniversary Celebration. Feeling like it is time to pass on as much knowledge as she can, she is sad to
leave behind her “Family” of the past 15 years at Taffs Grooming Room- but very excited about ushering in
the new generation of Groomers to the most rewarding career with their “Best Friends”- Dogs.

Sam(McSam) NDGANZ

Sam is a NZ certified Master Groomer (as of May 2020), a qualified Vet nurse, and now a Tutor for Angels Grooming Academy. They have been grooming and showing dogs since 2016 and specialises in breed- specific trims as well as more creative styles. Outside of the salon you are most likely to find them at a local christchurch dog show or reading a Stephen King novel while hanging out with their dogs Molly and Raven. Sam is the only NZ Master Groomer that shows and specializes in a mostly hairless breed, so if you’re looking for a groomer for your Chinese Crested Sam is definitely your person!

Summah

Summah has always had a love for animals and grew up surrounded by them, she has now been grooming for 7yrs . She knew she wanted a career that involved animals from a young age. Always wanting to give the most positive experiences to your fur babies, all shapes, sizes and personalities. Summah plans to be a NZ certified Master Groomer in 2025. She is also amazing with cats and loves grooming them. Summah’s best feeling is seeing the animals and owners leaving the salon with smiles and tails wagging knowing that your fur baby has been pampered and cherished with care and love. Summah is also a Tutor in the Angels Grooming Academy.
